Brenwin Guest House

Brenwin Guest House is situated on the slopes of Signal Hill in cosmopolitan Green Point. We are close to the city centre and International Conference Centre and just a ten minute walk from the V & A Waterfront and the 2010 Soccer Stadium.

Nearby you will find a golf course, a fitness centre with tennis courts, the beachfront promenade, many of Cape Town's top restaurants and bistros, and a lively nightlife, with clubs, theatres and the Pink Mile.

Built in 1830 as the residence of the Port Captain, we have taken care to preserve our history, creating a warm and comfortable ambience. The tranquility of our tropical garden, with its palms and banana trees, guarantees relaxation.

Our staff, three of whom can speak German, would be happy to help you make the most of your stay. We can assist by arranging airport transfers and sightseeing tours, or simply by pointing you in the right direction.

We have 3 Select double rooms, 10 Standard double rooms (one of which has an interleading single room), and 3 apartments for up to 4 persons, with open plan lounge/kitchen, twin beds and sleeper couch. Also available is our poolside apartment, with en suite double bedroom and open plan lounge/kitchen. The apartments can be rented on a B&B or self-catering basis.

All rooms include either Queen, Double or Twin beds, en suite bathroom (with bath and shower, or shower only), mini-bar fridge, kettle with tea/coffee hospitality tray, satellite TV, direct line telephone, private wallsafe, ceiling fan and heater.

Map and Directions to Brenwin Guest House

From Cape Town International Airport

Take the N2 motorway in the direction of Cape Town. As you near the mountain, move into the right lane, as the N2 splits into the M3 to the left and the Eastern Boulevard to the right. Take the Eastern Boulevard and follow it around past the city on your left and Table Bay Harbour on your right. *** The motorway ends in a large junction with traffic lights. Coen Steytler Avenue is to the left and the Waterfront is to the right.

The two right lanes direct traffic to the right, so keep to the middle lane. Cross straight over this junction and the next set of traffic lights, and then turn right at the following set of traffic lights into Somerset Road (M61).

Once in Somerset Road pass through 3 traffic lights, the last of which is a pedestrian crossing. Just after this crossing turn left into Upper Portswood Road. This road forks; stay left and at the top of the road is Brenwin.

From Paarl

Take the N1 motorway in the direction of Cape Town. Close to the city the N1 splits and you will take the right fork (you will see the signs for Sea Point and the Waterfront). The city is now on your left and Table Bay Harbour is on your right. Please now follow the directions as above from ***
