De Kleijne Bos Country House Paarl Accommodation
About De Kleijne Bos Country House Paarl Accommodation
Welcome to De Kleijne Bos, one of the oldest and most historic Homesteads in South Africa.
Built in 1692, De Kleijne Bos Country House nestles in the heart of the Drakenstein Valley in the famed winelands region only 3km from the Paarl Village.
The old Cape Dutch homestead has been transformed into a four star guest house offering luxurious hospitality for the distinguished visitor, retaining all the grandeur, style and serenity of an era past in a beautifully scenic setting.
The De Kleijne Bos Country House offers 7 well equipped luxury rooms and one standard room accommodation. All offer charming accommodation, designed with comfort in mind with services for guests to relax and unwind.
De Kleine Bos breathes South African history. It is the farm where the GRA (Genootschap vir Regte Afrikaners), the body that took up the cudgels for Afrikaans to be recognized as an independent indigenous language separate from Nederlands (Dutch), was formed on 14 August 1875. It is neighbor to the venue where the first Afrikaans School in South Africa was erected the following year, in 1876.
Apart from its grandeur, history and hospitality there are other commanding reasons to enjoy a stay-over at De Kleijne Bos:
