Platbos Log Cabins
We offer three secluded and private log cabins overlooking a large dam in the Slanghoek Valley.
Each log cabin has an open-plan kitchen and living area. Two bedrooms each have queen size beds and there is a loft with two single beds as well as a shower and toilet. There is gas, solar and battery power only. No open fires permitted but there is a gas braai provided on the verandah.

From Cape Town
- Take the N1 to Paarl and through Du Toitskloof (via the tunnel or pass)
- Turn right to Rawsonville on the R101
- Follow the R101 to the first road crossing and tTurn left here (look for the Slanghoek road sign)
- Drive for about 10km, past Goudini Spa, past Slanghoek Wine Cellar, past Opstal Estate until you reach the Slanghoek Mountain Resort sign on your right. This is the reception for Platbos Log Cabins.
From Pretoria
- Take the N1 past Worcester and past the Shell Ultra City and then turn left to Rawsonville at the R101 turnoff On the R101 drive until you reach the second road crossing
- Turn right here (look for the Slanghoek roadsign)
- Drive for about 10km, past Goudini Spa, past Slanghoek Wine Cellar, past Opstal Estate until you reach the Slanghoek Mountain Resort sign on your right. This is the reception for Platbos Log Cabins.
