Tsitsikamma Information

Place of Abundant Waters

The 'Garden of the Garden Route' welcomes you to the area the ancient San people called the 'place of sparkling waters'. Here the high mountains, deep gorges and rugged coastline are covered with tall indigenous forests and vast, unspoilt stands of the Cape's unique fynbos.

The Tsitsikamma National Park protects the dramatically beautiful coastline, which encompasses fynbos and forest as well as the delicate and unusual marine environment of the Tsitsikamma shore.
