Horizon Cottages
Horizon Cottages, Noordhoek, has made holidays in Cape Town affordable with self-catering family friendly Cottages and Cabanas located in a tranquil coastal suburb of Cape Town, within a 1 acre garden setting. Our beds all have orthopaedic mattresses and luxury, white cotton percale bedding to ensure a good night’s rest.
Guinea Fowl Cottage is furnished in African Colonial style with antiques and original artworks and sleeps 4 people privately in 3 bedrooms; Main bedroom has king bed, second has spacious ¾ bed and the third is a single bedroom. Spacious living/dining room and open plan kitchen completes the accommodation. This is our ideal family cottage. A camping cot is provided on request for a little one.
Captain’s Cottage is our breezy beach cottage sleeping 4 to 6: Main bedroom has King bed, second has a choice of twin beds or King bed on request, making this ideal for 2 couples, while a fold out couch in the living room makes an extra double bed to accommodate up to 6. A separate dining room seats 6.
Cottage bathrooms have bath with shower, vanity and toilet; and open plan, fully equipped kitchens with stove/oven, fridge freezer, microwave and all small appliances. There is a door from the living room to a covered stoep facing a secure private garden with a bbq area where kids can play in safety. The stoep has a table/bench set where you can relax outdoors and enjoy the spectacular sunsets for which Noordhoek is famous. Camping cot for a baby is supplied on request.
Self catering Cabanas are a popular choice of romantic couples, and have spacious bedroom with King size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower; lounge area, fully fitted kitchen and breakfast bar with fridge, stove and microwave. A camping cot or small fold out bed is provided on request for a little one sharing. Sliding glass doors open to private wooden deck with spectacular views of Noordhoek lakes, and open into the garden, pool and bbq area.

Take the N2 Cape Town; at the foot of Table Mountain, take M3 Muizenberg, until T-junction at the end of the highway; turn right towards Noordhoek; take the first left into Ou Kaapse Weg. Do not take the first Noordhoek/San Michelle exit at Silvermine Road but continue toward Fish Hoek and Simonstown; then turn right into M6 Noordhoek Main road, towards Chapman?s Peak. Turn first right at the green sign for Crofter?s valley and Sea Cottage Drive- we are the log cabin at number 9- look out for the brown tourist road direction signs. test
Directions from N1 Highway
As you approach Cape Town you will note Century City; largest shopping mall in South Africa on your right. Move to the left lane and take the M5 Muizenberg exit. Proceed along this highway (Black River Park)a short distance keeping left, and take the N2 Cape Town exit to your left; the road sweeps sharply around and then you head toward the foot of Table Mountain. Take the M3 Muizenberg exit and follow directions above.
